Faster than a Kiss, Chapter 35 translation

I am a fan of shojo manga and one that I've been reading lately is Faster than a Kiss. There is a cool scanslation group working on this, but since scanslation takes so much effort (scan, clean, translate, edit, who knows what else), I decided to post a translation for any fans out there who are following it on Lala every month.

The raws are kindly provided by yuukuzuri-chan every month. The link for this chapter is here.

Without further ado, I present to you:

Faster Than A Kiss, Chapter 35
A confrontation between brothers?

Fumino (narration): My wounded hand recovered completely after 10 days. Thanks to the *extremely warm* nursing of my husband-who-is-also-my-teacher, I am improving favorably.

[Open/Close hand]

Fumino (thoughts): Complete recovery!

Fumino (narration): And so, it begins… Mid-term exams season is here!

Kazuma: I'll distribute the table of contents noooow! These exams will be important for your future. I also included a mock exam, so please study carefully!

Fumino (thoughts): I'll prove myself! I won't only regain the ground I lost during the week that my hand was hurt… I'll even surpass it!
Kazuma: Good, Kaji-san! That's the spirit!
Fumino (thoughts): Don't say it in such a disappointing way!

Outside the classroom Fumino looks for Meg.

Fumino: Meg-chan, Meg-chan!
Meg: What?
Fumino: Do you have free time tomorrow? Would you like to go together and study at the library?
Meg: NO! I really don't care about grades… (It doesn't matter if my grades are bad)
Shouma listens to Meg's statement and gets really mad.
Shouma: Those are inexcusable words. What did you really come to Japan for? If you don't feel like going back to America, at the very least graduate!
Meg: Shouma, shut up! (You're so noisy) Aah, leave me alone!
Fumino: Well, then, Shouma should come too…
Shouma: And what do I get out of it? (What possible advantage is there for me?)
Fumino: You're right, I'm very sorry.
Shouma fixes his gaze on Fumino and doesn't say anything for several seconds.
Fumino: Mh?
Shouma seems flustered and drags Meg away.
Shouma: It's nothing! Let's go back, Meg!
Meg: Fumino! Email me the place where to meet at the library!
Fumino: Ah, yes! Thank you! (Then, to herself) Well, let's work hard!

Shouma and Meg talk as they walk away.
Meg: Shouma, your face is red.
Shouma: It's because it's hot today.
Meg: That's not it. It's because you talked to Fumino, isn't it?
Shouma: What are you saying? (What nonsense are you saying?)
Meg: As I thought, this is very irritating. Since you are not self-aware at all, I'll tell you. You like Fumino, don't you?

(One week until exams start)

Kazuma, Fumino and Teppei are back at their home, discussing the arrangements for the following day.

Kazuma: So, you'll be studying for your tests at the library?
Fumino: Yes, so tomorrow the house will be empty for the whole day. Sensei always prepares the exams in the smaller room, right? Tomorrow you'll be able to use the living room. Please take your time and do it leisurely.
Kazuma: Thank you, how considerate. What will you do about Teppei?
Fumino: I'll take him with me to the library. There's a 'Picture Book Corner'.
Teppei: Picture books? Picture books? (excitedly)
Fumino: Can you wait for me like a good boy, Teppei?
Teppei: I'll waiiit!
Kazuma: Oh, how nice (for you two)! I'll be so lonely!

Kazuma pulls Fumino into his lap.

Kazuma: To make up for tomorrow, let's be lovey-dovey tonight, to our heart's content! For this reason, Fumino-san's seat is here, on my lap!
Fumino: Wooh! But my hand is healed already, so I don't need you to feed me?!
Kazuma: In that case, won't you please feed ME? Come on, try with some of that beef stew.

Fumino feeds him.
Kazuma: (Chomp) Mmh, it turned out delicious! I'm glad.
She then tries some herself with the same chopsticks.
Fumino: You're right, it's really good.
Kazuma: Ah! An indirect kiss! (since she used the same chopsticks to feed him and to eat herself)

Upon hearing this, Fumino starts to choke on her food.
Teppei: Should I serve some tea?
Kazuma: Yes, thank you!

Kazuma: Oh, I can't take it! Fumino-san, you are so cuuuute.
Fumino: Aah, enough! (blushing madly)
Kazuma gently caresses her cheek.
Kazuma: I wonder, when shall we be able to kiss properly?

Fumino (narration): Is sensei waiting for me to graduate from High School? If that is the case, all the more reason for me to become a little bit more appropriate for sensei until that time. I'll do whatever I can with all my strength!

Meg and Shouma are waiting for Fumino outside the library.

Shouma: You're late!
Fumino (to Meg): What's with his face?
Shouma: You're the one who invited me here!
Fumino: Eh? Ah! Thanks for coming!

[Flashback to the conversation between Meg and Shouma]

Shouma: LIKE? Who likes whom?
Meg: YOU like FUMINO.
Shouma: That's not true, you idiot!
Shouma: I see. Since you dare suggest such a thing, I will go with you to the library tomorrow, and there I will show you, Meg, THAT I ABSOLUTELY HATE THAT WOMAN!
Meg (to herself): So, Shouma doesn't understand yet… that the opposite of 'like' is 'indifference'. While 'dislike' is very close to 'like'.

[Back to the present, in the library]

Fumino: Hey, Meg-chan. About this tag-question…
Meg: (repeats phonetically Fumino's words) That's a delicious sounding Japanese expression…
Fumino: Ah… Meg-chan, don't tell me that you don't know English grammar…
Fumino: Then, Shouma-ku…
Shouma (in English): NO. Don't think that I will explain your lessons so easily. If you have any questions, you'll have to make them in English. If you get all the answers right on this exercise book, I'll answer your questions.
Fumino: Shouma-kun! You really don't have the intention of teaching me anything, do you?!
Shouma: Shut up!
Shouma (thoughts): Aggh! Scared of her? In love with her? ME? With this woman? It's impossible, isn't it? Completely stupid! Mainly because she's already my brother's bride. There's no chance for me to…
Shouma: Eh? No, that's not the reason… What am I saying? That it would be different if she weren't married? And in the first place, I have never accepted her as my brother's wife!

Meg: Oh, Teppei-kun, you can read, right?
Teppei: No, I just look at the pictures!
Meg: Really? Well, then I will read them to you! It'll be Japanese practice for me! Well then, we're off to the Picture Book Corner! - This also counts as studying, right? -
Teppei: OK!
Fumino: Oh, sorry Meg!
Shouma: WHA…?! Hey, Meg!
Meg (in English): Shut up! Will you run away?
Shouma (to himself): Who said anything about running away?! And what does she think she's doing? Didn't she say that she liked me? Even if I like another woman…

Shouma notices what he just thought and becomes visibly upset.

Shouma: But I just said that I don't! (It's not like that!)
Fumino (in English): Hey, Shoma! Mr. Shoma! Marking Please… (please grade my exercises)
Shouma (to himself): Get a grip and calm down. What the hell did I come here for? I just came to make fun of this stupid woman, right? She'll get 0 marks at best…

She gets 80 marks.
Fumino: Ugh, how disappointinnng. Still 20 points…
Shouma (surprised): Heeee. You're really studying hard.
Fumino: Eh?
Shouma: That exercise book is really quite hard. I didn't think you'd get that many marks… Oops, I said it in Japanese.
Fumino: Hehe, I'm happy! Next time I'll work hard to get full marks!

Shouma (thoughts): She's violent, sarcastic and opinionated…
Shouma: I'll go look for a reference book.
Fumino: Yes! Take care! (literally itterasshai, which is the greeting the Japanese use for someone who's leaving his house and will return later).

Shouma (thoughts): That problematic woman just disturbs and wanders aimlessly around my own brother. Up until now, I was supposed to be irritated by that fact, but… "Take care!" Those are the words that she tells my brother every morning…
I definitely don't want to say out loud… this burning feeling.

Meg: The prince exited the thorny forest… and kissed the sleeping princess. Then… When he did this, the curse of the witch disappeared and the princess woke up from her 100-year long sleep. The two of them married and lived happily ever after. Happy end! Just like Kazuma and Fumino, right? They wake up kissing every day, right? They're all lovey-dovey...
Teppei: No! They don't kiss!
Meg: Unbelievable… So they really haven't done anything, eh? Is Kazuma waiting until Fumino graduates?
Teppei: I don't understand very well but… just the other day Kazuma said 'When will I be able to kiss Buncha?'
Meg: My God...

Shouma (thoughts): Eh? Platonic? So those two… really haven't done anything yet?!

[Meanwhile Kazuma is at home preparing the exams for his students]
Kazuma: Eh? The weather suddenly turned bad… Did those two take an umbrella with them? Should I go pick them up?

Shouma returns to where Fumino is waiting, but she has fallen asleep.

Shouma (thoughts): I cannot tell anyone about this feeling that struggles and rages with nowhere to go…

Shouma: You'll catch a cold, Fumino-san.

Shouma (thoughts): My older brother's "lover". His adored "sleeping princess".

Meg and Teppei return, singing a nursery rhyme, and they see Shouma over Fumino.

[Thunder]

Fumino: [Suprised] Ha? Eh? Shouma-ku… Just now… Eh?
Shouma: What would you do if I told you that I kissed you?

Fumino recalls Kazuma's words: "When will I be able to kiss you properly?"

Meanwhile, at the vending machine corner, Meg is crying while hugging Teppei and talking to herself out loud.
Teppei: Meg-chan, what's wrong? Does your tummy hurt?
Meg (in English): NO! Sorry. I can't do anything more, since I already confessed to him that I like him… I planned on watching over him but… after all it's really painful.

Kazuma and Shouma meet outside the library.

Kazuma: Shouma?
Shouma: Hello, brother. I was with your princess up until just a while ago.
Kazuma (coldly): I'm sorry but I cannot lend you my umbrella, since I only brought one with me.
Shouma: I'm perfectly fine without it.

Fumino's cell shows that Kazuma sent her a message, telling her that he's coming to pick them up to the library and to wait at the entrance.

Fumino (narration): Even if that isn't my 'first', it won't change my 'first' with sensei…

Kazuma: Fumino-san! It suddenly started to rain…

Fumino (narration): And still, after all…

Fumino breaks down crying and jumps into Kazuma's arms.
Kazuma: Fumino-san?
Fumino: Ah! Im'sorr…! What am I thinking, doing such a thing in plain view?

Fumino tries to get out of his arms but he restrains her and holds her tightly.

Kazuma: It's OK. The rain and the umbrella will hide us. Nobody's watching us. It's alright.

Fumino (thoughts): I like sensei. Sensei is the best. I only have eyes for sensei. I won't look back.

Fumino: That's right! More important than that is the exam, the exam!

Kazuma: Hey, Teppei-kun. Fumino-san is behaving a little strangely. Did anything happen?
Teppei: Eh? Well, Buncha studied with Meg and Shou-kun, and then…
Kazuma: Yes?
Teppei: Shou-kun kissed Buncha. Is it OK to kiss even if you're not married?

Fumino (narration): And so, with all of its ups and downs it begins, the summer of my third year in high school.

The next day, at the Sunflower kindergarten.

Emiri: Kissing with someone you're not married to? That's a crime called adultery! (the consultation room of a young girl with superficial knowledge about relationships).
Teppei: EEEH?
Ryuu: Just what are you two talking about?

Kaichou wa Maid-sama! Chapter 52 summary

This is a summary of chapter 52 of Kaichou wa Maid-sama!

Otherwise, enjoy!

At the end of chapter 51, Usui stops Misaki from confessing that she likes him (or loves him, depending on the interpretation), and tells her that it's not the right moment to hear her confession, but that someday he will listen to it.

This chapter begins by Usui squeezing Misaki's hand and offering to see her home. He tells Cedric (the attendant that Usui's brother left behind) that he will escort his 'friend' home (Misaki taking notice of the term he chose to refer to her), and Cedric follows them, apparently under orders of following Usui.

Usui challenges Misaki to jog to the train station; the loser having to buy a juice for the winner. They take off and when they arrive by the station Misaki is quite breathless and Usui as fresh as usual. Misaki is surprised to see that Cedric is waiting for them alreay (without sweating a drop or riding a car or bicycle). Usui remarks that this time it won't be so easy to run from his 'watcher'.

During the train ride, Usui tells Misaki that it's better if she doesn't go to his home anymore. Misaki is taken aback, so Usui explains that 'they' (the Walker family) have really gone too far this time, going into his house as they please, and they might even install listening devices. Misaki can't believe that they would go to such lengths just to get him to change schools.

Usui apologizes to Misaki for selfishly involving her in all his problems, saying: "It's just that I really want to stay by Ayuzawa's side, just like this." Misaki is mad at him, saying that he's a troublesome guy and angry at having gone to so much trouble to confess (like running from class to class trying to find him and finally going to his apartment), all for nothing. Usui then regrets not getting Misaki's confession before (by force if necessary), and he wishes that he had been the only one to listen to those long-awaited words. He implies that Cedric heard everything even from outside the house and tries to prove it.

When they get off the train, they stop at a vending machine. Usui buys a drink "from the Edo period" and starts quickly whispering instructions in English for Cedric to follow (explaining what it is and how to drink it), even though Cedric is standing several meters away. He follows them to the letter and Usui tells Misaki that this confirms that he's fluent in Japanese and has an acute hearing, so she needs to speak in a low voice particularly in quiet places. Misaki concludes that Cedric is even more of an outer-space man than Usui.

Misaki gets home and Suzuna tells her that Hinata went back already (to continue studying at home), at which Misaki remarks that he's been working hard lately. Suzuna then teases her saying: "You're getting excited" which Misaki does not admit. Misaki then asks her mom of anything weird has happened lately to her, such as meeting strangers or foreigners, but when her mom answers in the negative and wants to know why Misaki is worried about it, she tries to change the subject.

Meanwhile Cedric goes back to Gerald's room (incidentally interrupting his sleep) and Gerald remarks that Cedric was chosen for this job for his quick reflexes and over-average hearing but that he needs a more proper attire (than a suit). Gerald finally asks Cedric to report what happened with Usui.

The next morning, Misaki notices that Usui is not at school on time and worries that if things keep going on like this, he might just disappear one day. At the same time, Gerald is visiting Usui, apologizing for keeping him from going to school, and explaining that he's going back to England the same evening.

Gerald then tells Usui that the reason that he's in Japan is because he wanted to make sure that Usui was staying there (refusing to transfer schools and go where directed by the family) because he is confortable, and not because he has a group of close friends that he does not want to part with.

Usui mentions that he does have a close friend from whom he doesn't want to separate, but since it's become troublesome, he put some distance between them. Gerald then guesses that the 'close friend' is Misaki, and tells Usui that he wouldn't be so concerned if it weren't because the 'friend' is a girl.

Gerald then tells Usui that he needs to be more aware of his 'place', and Usui mentions that when he realized his place in the family, he decided to separate from them. Gerald then says, "You were always very perceptive. Are you waiting for a proper moment to cut off all ties?", and adds that it's impossible for Usui to sever the relationship between him and the Walker family: even if he is an "Usui", he still have blood ties to them.

Usui then asks Gerald why he's giving him this warning, and Gerald responds: "Your guess is more or less right. It's what you have tried so hard to hide from your girlfriend... sorry, friend. You understand somewhat, right? That the two of you must not be together."

Misaki is still at school, worrying and lost in thought. Sakura and Shizuko see that something's bothering her and offer to listen her out, and she thanks them.

Misaki then meets Usui at the locker room, and after making sure that they are alone, she tells him that something is bothering her. She feels that he's hiding something important to her, and to settle this, she demands that he tells her everything, frankly, right then and there. Usui says that she's asking unreasonable things of him as usual, and she blames him for everything: "Since the beginning, when you discovered my secret... You kept following me around, teasing me. If you hadn't done that, we would be just two ordinary classmates. Besides... I already told you! That some time I would suprass you, and this time it would be my turn to worry about you! So I am worried about you since you are clearly behaving so strangely!"

He then laughs at her 'pushy' way of worrying about others and decides to share one of his worries with her. "Since this morning, I've been watched by a strange person." This person is Cedric, who, in full ninja costume, is spying from the roof. Usui then says that he wants some answers from this guy but he's unwilling to give them, so he requests Misaki's help in getting them out of him. Misaki accepts and Cedric just thinks: "I want to go home..."

Kaichou wa Maid-sama! Chapter 52 translation

Hey everyone! I was so excited about chapter 52 that I did my best at translating the whole chapter in one sitting!

First, you will need to get the Japanese raws from either one of these places (they're the same I think):

http://tieba.baidu.com/f?kz=836937611

OR

http://album.blog.yam.com/album.php?userid=mso696812&folder=7703216

Ready? You have them?

I present you the complete translation of this chapter. Since it is extremely long (dialogue heavy), I will also prepare a summary but that will have to wait until tomorrow.

Notes: I tried to indicate the character thoughts, or that they are speaking in English between parenthesis (thought/English), and used brackets for sound effects [effect].

If you are patient enough to read the whole dialog, enjoy! And please leave a comment. :)

Kaichou wa Maid-sama! Chapter 52

Usui: I'll take you home.

[Squeeze hand]

Misaki: ...Yes.

[Door opening]

Subtitle: Under the ominous watch of an English spy!

[Door closing]
Usui: I will escort my friend home.
Cedric: ...OK
Misaki (thoughts): He was here all this time...?
Misaki (thoughts): "Friend"...

Cedric follows them into the elevator.

[Silence]
[Lift descending]

[Tension rising]

The three leave the building, and start walking towards the station.

Usui: By the way, Pres... Haven't you lacked some exercise lately?
Misaki: ...What!?
Usui: Shall we jog all the way to the train station?
Usui: If you lose, you'll have to buy me juice!
Misaki: Wai... ...!
Misaki: Do you REALLY think I'll lose?
[Doo-n!]

Usui and Misaki take off running, leaving Cedric behind.

Cedric: ...

Usui and Misaki have reached the station. Misaki seems exhausted but Usui is as fresh as ever.
Misaki: Haa, haa (pant, pant)
Usui: Are you alright, Ayuzawa?
Misaki: (pant) I'm fine!! Damn...

Misaki notices that Cedric is waiting for them at the station.

[Stare]

Misaki: ?!
Misaki: How did he arrive before us? Did he ride a car!? A motorcycle?!
Usui: He didn't ride anything. He was right beside us the whole way.
Misaki: Did he run with such an idiotic energy?! But he didn't sweat even a single drop...

Usui loosens his collar; we see that he is a little sweaty.

Usui: As expected, this time it's not a guy from whom I can easily run away.

The three get on the train.

[Train track noises]

Usui: It would be better if you didn't come to my house anymore.

Ayuzawa looks stricken.

Misaki: !!
Usui: They came into my house as they pleased. This is the first time that they have violated my privacy in this way.
Misaki: No way...
Usui: What if they decide to plant a listening device in my home...? Or something like that.
Misaki: To what end?! To go to such lenghts!? Could they do it even if it's something that you could rightfully get angry about!?
Usui: I am talking about the most extreme possibilities. I do not know what the reality is.
Misaki: How could they do this... even if they want you to transfer schools? It's not normal...
Usui: I'm sorry, Ayuzawa.
Usui: It's just that I really want to stay by Ayuzawa's side, just like this.
Usui: I'm sorry that my selfishness got you involved in all this.
Misaki: You are really such a troublesome guy.
Misaki: Don't you dare tell me such a thing in such a smooth way in this situation. Damn... And I even went to all the trouble before...
Usui: Ahhh. I really wish you had said those words before... even by force. Haa [sigh].
Misaki: ?!
Usui: Really, until today, I had never fully realized my own intolerance for others...
Misaki: What are you talking about...?
Usui: But I didn't want anyone else to listen to those words that I have been waiting eagerly for so long. I wanted to listen to them just by myself.
Misaki: Eh? So, do you mean... that someone else was listening? To our conversation in the kitchen?
Usui: Well, there was that person outside the door, right?
Misaki: But there's no way he could have heard that, right? It's not like a cheap apartment...!
Usui: Besides, if Ayuzawa had spoken those words clearly... maybe...
Misaki: Eh?
Usui: Would you like to confirm what kind of person my 'older brother's attendant' really is?

The three get off the train. Misaki and Usui go to the vending machines.

Misaki: You were serious about my buying you a juice if I lost, right? Quick, take it.

[Sound of can falling]

Usui: Eh? How unusual. I thought that Pres was usually so serious about competitions.
Misaki: ... [Angry]
Misaki: Eh? Why did you buy oshiroko?
Usui (whispering rapidly in English): This is a drink made by disolving red bean jam in hot water, and adding chopped mochi. It is called 'shiroko'. It has been popular since the Edo era. In modern times it has become a canned beverage.
Misaki: He... hey! Who are you talking to...? Suddenly whispering in English...
Usui (back to Japanese): Please drink this after shaking it a hundred times.

Usui walks away from the vending machine.
[Step step step]

Usui: Eh? Pres also wanted a shiroko?
Misaki: So after all you were talking to that person?!

[Sign pointing to Cedric: far]

Misaki: It's impossible that he heard you, since you were speaking in such a low voice! And shaking it a hundred times?!
Usui: Yeah, that's more or less appropriate. If he doesn't hurry we'll leave him behind...
Misaki (thoughts): I still can't believe how fast he was before... If he could really hear this... he is even more of an outerspace man than Usui!]]

Cedric goes to the vending machine and shakes the can.
[Shake shake shake]

Cedric: 1 2 3 4 ...100
Misaki: ?!
Misaki (thoughts): Did he really hear that?! He's not human!!

Usui: Well, it seems that he can understand Japanese rather well. And he is used to following orders.
Misaki: Wa... wait, Usui!
Usui: You understand, right, Ayuzawa? You need to lower the tone of your voice as much as possible. Particularly in quiet places.
Misaki: After all, I don't get it. Why put you under such surveillance? Just because they want to force you to transfer schools?
Usui: Yeah... Why indeed. I also do not understand, because they haven't told me everything clearly.

Misaki gets finally home.

Misaki: I'm home.
Misaki's mom: Welcome home, Misaki. We had to start dinner without you. Would you like me to reheat the side dishes?
Misaki: No, it's fine.
Suzuna: You-kun went home earlier because he said that he had to study. [You-kun = Hinata]
Misaki: Is... is that so? It seems like that guy is trying really hard lately...
Suzuna: Mmmh, you're getting excited.
Misaki: Wha... what are you talking about?
Misaki's mom: Here, dinner is served.

Misaki seems lost in thought.

Misaki: Mom, has anything weird happened lately?
Misaki's mom: Eh? Something weird?
Misaki: Yes, like strangers approaching you or... meeting an unusual number of foreigners...
Misaki's mom: Well, I don't think that anything particularly unusual has happened lately but... did something happen?
Misaki: Eh? No... If that's the case, it's OK. I was only a little worried about someone taking advantage of you...
Misaki's mom: Misaki... Am I really so unreliable?
Misaki: Ah, no! That's not it...!

Meanwhile in Gerald's hotel (or building, at any rate). The whole conversation in English.

Gerald: (Yawn) What is it? Cedi...
Cedric: Did you go the hospital?
Gerald: Yes, I went, properly. More importantly, you know that I go to bed at 10pm, right?

Cedric gives Gerald a look that could kill.

Gerald: Wah... I know, I'm sorry already. Eh? You were wearing a suit all the time? Didn't you look too suspicious? We need to find you a more fitting attire.
Gerald: I already know that you are the fastest. You have reflexes and a sense of hearing well beyond the average.
Gerald: So... what was he like?

The next morning at Seika High.

Misaki (thoughts): Is he also late again today? If things keep up like this... he's not going to disappear, right?

Back at Usui's apartment, Gerald is visiting. The whole conversation in English.

Gerald: I'm sorry to call on you since early in the morning. I feel bad because I know that you have school to go to, however since I must return to England this evening...
Gerald: But even though we met in person before, we didn't really have the chance to talk leisurely...
Usui: There is no helping it, since you are so busy with work.
Gerald: So, you said "The reason why I want to stay here, is because I'm comfortable", right?
Gerald: I wanted to know how much of that statement was true. I thought that you would be surrounded by a group of intimate friends from whom it would be hard to separate you.
Usui: ...
Usui: I do have a close friend from whom I do not want to be separated. But since it seems like it will be troublesome, I decided to put a little distance between us.
Gerald: Is that the girl from yesterday? So a "close friend"... In other words, that is only "friendship", is it?
Gerald: I wouldn't worry about it so much, if your "close friend" was not a girl.
Usui: Worry?
Gerald: If I consider your lifestyle until now, there are certainly some troublesome things but... You should really be more self-aware about your "place", Takumi.
Usui: Precisely because I realized my place is that I decided to separate from the family.
Gerald: Right... You were always very perceptive. Are you waiting for a proper moment to cut off all ties?
Gerald: But it's impossible. After alll, you cannot sever the relationship between you and us.
Gerald: Won't you ask me the reason why?
Usui: Do you have the intention of telling me?
Gerald: You're amazing. Can you be so angry and still smile?
Gerald: But remember this. Even though you are "Usui" Takumi, you still have a blood relationship to the Walker house.
Usui: And what is the reason for this warning?
Gerald: I wonder if your guess is more or less right. It's what you have tried so hard to hide from your girlfriend... sorry, friend. You understand somewhat, right? That the two of you must not be together.

Meanwhile at Seika High, Misaki seems lost in thought (again) and Sakura is trying to get her attention.

Sakura: ...ki, Misaki. Oooh, I said MISAKI. Heeey!
Misaki: Eh? Ah... ah! What is it?
Sakura: What do you mean, 'what is it'? You're making such a face... If there is anything that is bothering you, you can tell us...?
Misaki: It's nothing. I'm fine.
Sakura: Oh, is that so? Are you really all right?
Shizuko: Misaki-san. If you would consider us, we will listen to whatever you want to tell us, whenever you want to tell us.
Misaki: ...! Thank you. [Smiles]

Misaki runs into Usui at the school entrance lockers.

Misaki: Usui!
Usui: Pres...
Misaki: Did you just get here? There's only one period left... Did something happen?
Usui: It's nothing.

Misaki seems upset (maybe because she just said the same words to Sakura and she was NOT OK).

[Bell rings indicating the start of class]

Usui: Classes are starting now. Don't you have to go...?

Misaki looks around to make sure that they're alone.

Usui: What are you doing?
Misaki: It seems like there's no one...
Misaki: Usui, there's something that's bothering me.
Usui: ...?
Misaki: I have the feeling that you are trying to keep something important secret from me. That's what's bothering me.
Misaki: To settle this, I have no option but to ask you to be honest with me. So tell me everything frankly right now!

[Dooo-n]

Usui: As usual, you are completely unreasonable towards me....
Misaki: Well, it's because it's your fault!
Misaki: Since the beginning, when you discovered my secret... You kept following me around, teasing me. If you hadn't done that, we would be just two ordinary classmates. Besides...
Misaki: I already told you! That some time I would suprass you, and this time it would be my turn to worry about you!
Misaki: So I am worried about you since you are clearly behaving so strangely!

Usui (trying to repress laughter): Fu... he... hahaha.
Misaki: Wha... what are you laughing about?
Usui: Nothing... I just thought that it's so typical for Pres, to worry in such an oppressive fashion...
Misaki: Shu... shut up!
Usui: Besides, Pres...
Usui: Do you really think that you have already surpassed me?
Usui: Well, since you went to all the trouble to ask me, perhaps I will try sharing some of my worries with you...
Misaki: !!
Usui: Since this morning, I've been watched by a strange person.
Misaki: S... strange person?
Usui: Right? You, over there.

Cedric shows up (down?) from the ceiling, in full ninja regalia.

Misaki: ... Eh...?
Misaki: Is that the guy from yesterday? Why is he...? How did he get in such a place...?
Usui: Yes, the same one.
Misaki: Is... is he a ninja?
Usui: Who knows. Since he won't answer any of my questions...
Usui: But his mere presence is strangely compelling.
Usui: There are some things that I want to ask this guy so... will you lend me your help?
Misaki: ...Yeah!
Cedric (thoughts): ...I want to go home...

End title: The strongest tag-team's flame has been ignited! What sort of person is the blond ninja?!

Please if you don't understand anything, leave a comment and I will try to clear it up.

Kaichou wa Maid-sama! Chapter 52 raws

Someone called Jeweldrop posted this on Potato-Otaku's chat box. It's a link to the Japanese raws of Kaichou wa Maid-sama chapter 52. I will work on a summary as soon as I can. ;)

http://album.blog.yam.com/album.php?userid=mso696812&folder=7703216

It seems that they were provided by mso696812 from Taipei City.

UPDATE:

Yuukuzuri-chan has uploaded her own Japanese raws and the quality is superior!

You can get them off her livejournal:
