Otherwise, enjoy!

At the end of chapter 51, Usui stops Misaki from confessing that she likes him (or loves him, depending on the interpretation), and tells her that it's not the right moment to hear her confession, but that someday he will listen to it.

This chapter begins by Usui squeezing Misaki's hand and offering to see her home. He tells Cedric (the attendant that Usui's brother left behind) that he will escort his 'friend' home (Misaki taking notice of the term he chose to refer to her), and Cedric follows them, apparently under orders of following Usui.

Usui challenges Misaki to jog to the train station; the loser having to buy a juice for the winner. They take off and when they arrive by the station Misaki is quite breathless and Usui as fresh as usual. Misaki is surprised to see that Cedric is waiting for them alreay (without sweating a drop or riding a car or bicycle). Usui remarks that this time it won't be so easy to run from his 'watcher'.

During the train ride, Usui tells Misaki that it's better if she doesn't go to his home anymore. Misaki is taken aback, so Usui explains that 'they' (the Walker family) have really gone too far this time, going into his house as they please, and they might even install listening devices. Misaki can't believe that they would go to such lengths just to get him to change schools.

Usui apologizes to Misaki for selfishly involving her in all his problems, saying: "It's just that I really want to stay by Ayuzawa's side, just like this." Misaki is mad at him, saying that he's a troublesome guy and angry at having gone to so much trouble to confess (like running from class to class trying to find him and finally going to his apartment), all for nothing. Usui then regrets not getting Misaki's confession before (by force if necessary), and he wishes that he had been the only one to listen to those long-awaited words. He implies that Cedric heard everything even from outside the house and tries to prove it.

When they get off the train, they stop at a vending machine. Usui buys a drink "from the Edo period" and starts quickly whispering instructions in English for Cedric to follow (explaining what it is and how to drink it), even though Cedric is standing several meters away. He follows them to the letter and Usui tells Misaki that this confirms that he's fluent in Japanese and has an acute hearing, so she needs to speak in a low voice particularly in quiet places. Misaki concludes that Cedric is even more of an outer-space man than Usui.

Misaki gets home and Suzuna tells her that Hinata went back already (to continue studying at home), at which Misaki remarks that he's been working hard lately. Suzuna then teases her saying: "You're getting excited" which Misaki does not admit. Misaki then asks her mom of anything weird has happened lately to her, such as meeting strangers or foreigners, but when her mom answers in the negative and wants to know why Misaki is worried about it, she tries to change the subject.

Meanwhile Cedric goes back to Gerald's room (incidentally interrupting his sleep) and Gerald remarks that Cedric was chosen for this job for his quick reflexes and over-average hearing but that he needs a more proper attire (than a suit). Gerald finally asks Cedric to report what happened with Usui.

The next morning, Misaki notices that Usui is not at school on time and worries that if things keep going on like this, he might just disappear one day. At the same time, Gerald is visiting Usui, apologizing for keeping him from going to school, and explaining that he's going back to England the same evening.

Gerald then tells Usui that the reason that he's in Japan is because he wanted to make sure that Usui was staying there (refusing to transfer schools and go where directed by the family) because he is confortable, and not because he has a group of close friends that he does not want to part with.

Usui mentions that he does have a close friend from whom he doesn't want to separate, but since it's become troublesome, he put some distance between them. Gerald then guesses that the 'close friend' is Misaki, and tells Usui that he wouldn't be so concerned if it weren't because the 'friend' is a girl.

Gerald then tells Usui that he needs to be more aware of his 'place', and Usui mentions that when he realized his place in the family, he decided to separate from them. Gerald then says, "You were always very perceptive. Are you waiting for a proper moment to cut off all ties?", and adds that it's impossible for Usui to sever the relationship between him and the Walker family: even if he is an "Usui", he still have blood ties to them.

Usui then asks Gerald why he's giving him this warning, and Gerald responds: "Your guess is more or less right. It's what you have tried so hard to hide from your girlfriend... sorry, friend. You understand somewhat, right? That the two of you must not be together."

Misaki is still at school, worrying and lost in thought. Sakura and Shizuko see that something's bothering her and offer to listen her out, and she thanks them.

Misaki then meets Usui at the locker room, and after making sure that they are alone, she tells him that something is bothering her. She feels that he's hiding something important to her, and to settle this, she demands that he tells her everything, frankly, right then and there. Usui says that she's asking unreasonable things of him as usual, and she blames him for everything: "Since the beginning, when you discovered my secret... You kept following me around, teasing me. If you hadn't done that, we would be just two ordinary classmates. Besides... I already told you! That some time I would suprass you, and this time it would be my turn to worry about you! So I am worried about you since you are clearly behaving so strangely!"

He then laughs at her 'pushy' way of worrying about others and decides to share one of his worries with her. "Since this morning, I've been watched by a strange person." This person is Cedric, who, in full ninja costume, is spying from the roof. Usui then says that he wants some answers from this guy but he's unwilling to give them, so he requests Misaki's help in getting them out of him. Misaki accepts and Cedric just thinks: "I want to go home..."
